A chance to peace ?

 An eye for an eye makes us all blind; 

A tooth for a tooth would leave us with nothing to chew; 

Ten lives for one ultimately will still destroy humankind; 

Do we realize what we are doing? 

We see the war on terror; 

We dont know who is terrified; 

The terrorist is terrified and so are governments; 

Terrified are the masses, and still they all fight? 

Do we realize what we are doing? 

We are leaving a trail of Destruction and sadness, 

Perpetrated by utter madness; 

Blind are we who cannot see, 

the destruction imposed by human hegemonies; 

Neither are we wise nor are we intellectuals, 

if we do not leave our greed for power and money, 

Why dont we wake up and see; 

Follow the path of someone like gandhi; 

Let's for a change give a chance to peace.
